Piping Plovers
The early morning light, the pride of a mother and the beginning of a new, endangered life.

​My field work on this project was exciting and meaningful and that is what I hope to convey in this series of painting.

With only approximately 8000 Piping Plovers left in the world I was honoured to record the hatching from two nests. But the real reward came from getting to know the dedicated volunteers who contribute to the survival of this species. These people are making a difference and the Plovers are coming back. ​
